The USA PokerStars Championship 2021

February 13, 2023 by William M.

The PokerStars Championship has been around since 2017. After its formation, we have witnessed up to seven tournament festivals in several cities worldwide. Following many changes to the competition by PokerStars, we’ve enjoyed watching different kinds of series and tournaments from various nations. Now, the competition is coming to the US!

PokerStars is the largest online video poker platform in the world today, and it is now legal across some states in the United States. It is available to residents looking to play at Michigan casinos, Pennsylvania casinos, and New Jersey casinos. So, if you believe that you have what it takes to compete against other poker champions, join Pokerstars USA to get started. Keep reading to learn more about this championship.

The Pokerstars Championship

Although PokerStars USA is not technically a network yet, the sites are owned and run by the same company. In addition to that, PokerStars does not mix its players’ pools across state lines. However, this might change once most states legalize online gambling in the US. Then, we might get to see PokerStars USA representing a single US network.

PokerStars Michigan

PokerStars Michigan (MI) is currently the latest member of the US PokerStars brand. It started operation in January 2021. If you are living or visiting Michigan, you can easily join PokerStars MI, and if you do so, you will receive two welcome offers. Aside from that, you can participate in the Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP).(Pokerfuse, 2021)

As it stands, the tournament boasts of over $400,000 already paid out in prize money to players.  Although there is no series leaderboard offered, the operator runs a daily second chance freeroll and the main event deposit freeroll.  To qualify for the MICOOP tournaments, you simply need to deposit at least $30 using the code “MICOOP.”Over $2 million has been generated in prize money by the company (Pokerfuse, 2021).

PokerStars Pennsylvania

PokerStars is the first operator to offer online poker in Pennsylvania (PA). All resident and non-resident players in Pennsylvania are eligible to join the platform. Aside from playing poker online, players in PA also have access to a variety of tournaments. The major ones are the Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP) and the Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker (PASCOOP).

The pool prize for the PASCOOP is currently valued at over $2 million, which was the same last year. PACOOP, on the other hand, has a guaranteed $200,000 pool prize. You can easily participate in any of these tournaments when you subscribe as a member of the PokerStars PA. All you have to do is make sure that you deposit at least $30 with the code -PACOOP- or -PASCOOP-, and you are good to go.

PokerStars New Jersey

New Jersey (NJ) was the first state in the US to welcome PokerStars, having launched in March 2016. Since its inception, players from NJ can play poker online and also participate in different tournaments, like the Festival series. The PokerStars platform is regulated and licensed by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE).  Aside from various bonuses that you will enjoy when you join the site, you can also participate in the NJ Championship of Online Poker (NJCOOP). (Forbes, 2015)

To participate in the NJCOOP tournament, you need to deposit at least $30, and you also have to provide the code, NJCOOP. Once you do that, you have the chance to win from the $1,000,000 prize money. Aside from that, the tournament’s main event has a $300 buy-in and a guaranteed $125,000 pool prize.

Wrap-Up

PokerStars USA is continuously growing, and every year the prize money increases. As long as you are above 21 and you can deposit at least $30, you can begin to participate in the championship. So, all in all, if you trust your poker abilities, participate in either PokerStars NJ, PA, or MI today!
