EcoCard Review

Unfortunately EcoCard is not available for US players.

EcoCard is more than just a card. It offers all the functionalities of a regular e-Wallet plus the ability to withdraw funds using a prepaid debit card. EcoCard customers use it to transfer funds to family and friends, buy stuff at online merchants like EcoCard Casinos, and withdraw funds using the prepaid debit card. EcoCard has been around since 1999 and its headquarters are located in the UK. Unfortunately EcoCard isn’t available for US gamblers. It does however offers its services to players from almost all other countries and it supports 7 different languages.

EcoCard Account Registration
To start using EcoCard you first need to sign up for a free account at the EcoCard website. You fill in a short list of personal details and create a username and password. This process is done in a few minutes and afterwards you’ll receive a verification e-mail.

Once you have registered an EcoCard account, you are ready to fund it. Funding can be done using your credit card, by bank wire transfer, or by using one of the local payment options. Depending on the country you live in there are a number of local payment options available. Canadian players can for example deposit funds by electronic funds transfer. Deposits by bank wire transfer are always free of charge. Credit card deposits are charged with a 2.9% fee and for making an electronic funds transfer you pay a 4.9% fee.

EcoCard Casino Deposit
Deposits to EcoCard casinos are processed instantly and are always free of charge. You simply head over to the casino cashier and select the right payment option. You are then requested to fill in your EcoCard username and password together with the amount you want to deposit. Seconds later the money is in your casino account and you’re ready to hit the tables.

Withdrawing Your Winnings
To claim your winnings you first of all have to withdraw your funds back to your EcoCard account. This is always free of charge. When the money is back in your EcoCard e-Wallet you have a number of options to choose from.

The best options to spend or withdraw the money in your EcoCard account is by applying for one of the prepaid MasterCards. You can either request the virtual debit card or the prepaid debit card. The prepaid debit card is just a regular MasterCard. You can use it to shop and withdraw funds at points of sale and ATMs around the world. The virtual card is nothing more than a than a 16-digit card number, a security code, and an expiration date. These details can be used when you go online shopping.

EcoCard charges a 2% fee on withdrawals made using your prepaid debit card. As for the virtual debit card you’ll be charged 2% on the amount you load onto it. If you prefer having the money transferred directly to your bank account, you’re charged a $14 flat fee. So as long as you withdraw less than $700, you’re better off applying for a MasterCard. If your winnings are above $700, a bank transfer costs you less in fees.
