Gamble Your Way to a Job with Caesars?

A few lucky MBA grads might have just parlayed their skills at the poker table into a job with Caesars.

Caesars Entertainment just wrapped up a three-day recruiting weekend in Las Vegas that saw more than 300 MBA grads meet with hiring managers and executives during their breaks from battling it out at the poker tables.

Prospective job seekers weren't just pitching their resumes as there was plenty at stake at the tables. Each player bought in for real money and competed for cash just like in any normal poker tournament.

The annual event had been more of a publicity stunt in the past but Caesars stepped up its game this yearby adding networking opportunities and conducting high-level interviews with some job candidates.

Caesars held various networking sessions and then 20 MBAs were invited to formally interview with executives for a spot in the company's 10-week paid management trainee program.

Those who accept positions in the training program work in various capacities in the casino giants' operations, including in marketing and business development positions.

Poker is a natural fit for Caesars as it owns the popular WSOP brand that sees poker players from around the world descend on Las Vegas every summer for a series of tournaments that culminate in the $10,000 buy-in WSOP Main Event.

Not every job seeker in Caesars' recruitment tournaments snagged an interview but those who fared well in the tournaments walked away with some cash for their efforts as thousands of dollars were on the line for top finishers.
