Caribbean Stud Money Management
Not everyone goes to the casino with the intent of playing Caribbean Stud. Caribbean Stud does not enjoy the popularity of better-known games like blackjack, poker or craps. However, some players find themselves sitting down at the Caribbean Stud table and not getting up until their casino trip is over.
Just in case you become one of those people, here are some tips on Caribbean Stud money management.
The House Advantage in Caribbean Stud
The House edge in Caribbean Stud is around five percent. This means that on average, players will lose five dollars for every $100 they bet. This doesn't mean they will lose $5 an hour consistently. They may lose more, they may win. It only means that this is what a player can expect over the long term.
Calculating Your Bankroll in Caribbean Stud
Such being the case, it's important to know how much money you wager per hour at Caribbean Stud. You should also bring a large enough bankroll that can handle losing streaks.
If you put $1,000 in play an hour, you will lose $50 each hour on average. However, a bad streak can have you down five or ten times that much during this period. If your bankroll isn't large enough for you to sustain that kind of loss and still play for your desired duration, you need either a larger bankroll or smaller limits.
Notes on Caribbean Stud Money Management
Keep in mind that in Caribbean Stud, each round does not consist of one straight bet. On many occasions, you will be wagering three times the standard bet (ante plus raise), plus possibly a dollar progressive side bet. You must calculate all of these bets when establishing how much you put in play per hour.
