Baccarat Money Management - An Overview
Baccarat is an extremely simple game to play – all you have to do is choose whether to bet on the Banker, Player, or a Tie. Although there is not much you can do during the game itself to change your odds as the baccarat rules are pre-determined, there are betting strategies you can use to implement the most effective baccarat money management system to increase the amount of winning bets

Before getting into the best baccarat money management betting systems, you first and foremost need to keep your baccarat bankroll from the money you need to spend on your survival basics such as rent, food, electricity, kids clothes, etc. Don’t be a fool and start dipping into those funds as you will end up in poverty, possibly put your family through stress and hardship, and have a lot of anxiety over your head. If you can afford to live with extra money, then you can start putting some of that extra money aside in a separate account just to play baccarat. The one rule being you ONLY use the money in that separate account to play, and under no circumstances under the sun should you ever touch your and your families living money. Don’t be that person.
Paroli is a progressive betting system in which you double your ante when you win a bet, and when you lose a bet you return to your initial bet amount and start again. The point of this system is to stop you from betting large amounts on a loss and reduces the amount of losses as you will return to a smaller sized bet the moment you lose a bet. You should only bet on the banker or the player for this system, not on a tie.
Let’s give you an example: you bet one unit on your first bet and win, then you bet two units on the second bet and win, then you place four units on the third unit and then you lose, so your next bet you’re back at betting your original bet of only one unit. Keep in mind that if you’re having a long winning streak you will need a limit to your bets, so establish this before you start planning and walk away from the table once you get there. Martingale baccarat strategy is a baccarat money management system that works in the opposite way of paroli, in that instead of increasing your bets as you win, you double your ante when you lose, and then return to your original bet when you win. You need to be smart with how you bet with this system as you can reach the table limit and run out of money before ever getting you money back. Calculate in advance how many hands you can bet within the table limit, and determine for yourself if you are willing to lose that amount at the baccarat table. However luckily with baccarat there are much higher minimum and maximum bets allowed due to the somewhat exclusive nature of the game, so this system is more likely to work in such a game as you can win your money back.
This strategy works by betting one unit on your first hand, 3 units on your second hand, then 2 units on the third hand, and 6 units on your fourth hand. The purpose of this strategy is to gain money from shorter winning streaks instead of running after losses. The theory here is that there will always be winning and losing streaks, mainly in lots of two or three bets together, and when you win on those higher bets you will make up for the losses with some profit – the gains will be slow and steady with this approach.
For example let’s say one unit it worth $10 - you bet $10 on the first hand, $30 on the second hand, $20 on the third hand and $60 on the fourth and last hand. It’s entirely up to you what size units you will use, but remember the point of the strategy is to win on 12 betting units combined! When you lose at any hand you go back to the beginning of the betting sequence. This system keeps your bets at a manageable size as with the higher minimum bets it’s easier to lose control of the amount you are betting. It’s best to always bet on the player as the banker’s hand has commission which will lower your overall winnings. If you want to take less risks, then you can also try the 1-3-2-4 betting strategy, which replaces the six unit bet with a two unit bet.
The Parlay betting strategy is very easy and comparable to the Parloli strategy - aiming to increase your bets as you go along. The aim of this system is that when you have one a bet, you add the winnings to the amount of your initial bet for the second hand, and if you win the second hand you place the same amount of money of your initial bet plus winnings. In sum you double your bet every time you win as baccarat bets pay even money. When you lose then you go right back to your initial bet.
If you bet $20 in baccarat as your initial bet and you win you will have $40, on your second bet you will wager $40 ($20 from initial bet, $20 winnings), if you win you will bet $80 on your third bet ($40 from initial bet, $40 of winnings), if you lose then next round then you will bet your original bet of $20 for the fifth round. As you can probably imagine you can lose a lot of money with this strategy if you’re not careful! So the best way to manage this strategy is to walk away from the baccarat table when you’re on a good winning streak and set a maximum betting limit.
