Thumbs Down for Lindsay Lohan

lohan3

It hasn't been a good week for Lindsay Lohan as a potentially lucrative TV gig fell through and her latest movie was rejected by several film festivals.

Lindsay was in the news earlier in the week when a deal to appear on Dancing with the Stars fell through.

Lohan reportedly turned down a $550,000 payday to apear on the show. Her official line was that she simply "doesn't do" reality TV.

That didn't exactly jive with reports that she's desperate for cash. Various outlets have since reported that sources close to her are chalking it up to pure Lindsay craziness instead.

Apparently her handlers are afraid of just what she might do -- or what condition she might appear in -- on live TV, opting to decline the offer and not put her in a high-pressure situation.

The Canyons Universally Panned, Rejected

Her movie career has also taken a few hits recently. Her new movie The Canyons is apparently so bad that it can't get into several different film festivals for even a screening.

Sundance was the first festival to give the movie (an erotic thriller starring Lohan and porn star James Deen) a thumbs down The SXSW festival in Austin is the latest to take a pass on showing the film.

Paul Schrader directed it and butted heads with Lindsay throughout filming. Lohan was fired and rehired for not showing up to work and for arguing with Schrader about the inclusion of various sex scenes.

James Deen spoke with the Huffington Post about one of the sex scenes involving Lindsay -- a four-way featuring "boobs and ass" -- and he was adamant that they never actually had sex, and that Lindsay was fine to work with.

Lohan's legal troubles are also back in the news as she's parted ways with longtime attorney Shawn Holley.

Lohan has a new lawyer by her side as she faces assorted charges for lying to police about being behind the wheel during a recent traffic accident that she blamed on her assistant at the time.
