Mercurial comedian Katt Williams is back in the news for -- you guessed it -- doing crazy things and getting arrested.
Williams is best known for his role as Money Mike in "Friday After Next" but he's on the fast track to be known by more folks as "that comedian guy who keeps getting arrested for beating up people and doing crazy stuff."
The California Highway Patrol are the latest to want to have a chat with Katt, issuing a felony arrest warrant related to an inclident back on November 25 when Williams fled officers on a three-wheeled motorcycle and refused to stop after he was found driving it on the sidewalk near a downtown Sacramento hotel.
The wild motorocycle goose chase apparently didn't end there, as Williams reportedly visited a Target store shortly after, got into an argument with an employee there, and slapped the employee in the face, with the footage caught by a security camera.
Earlier this week Williams skipped an arraignment hearing in Seattle where he's facing assault charges for allegedly striking a man over the head with a microphone at one of his stand-up shows, as well as throwing chairs at fans and threatening a manager with a pool cue.
His lawyer claimed that Williams "didn't know" he had to attend the hearing and was in California instead.
Williams has a long history of similar incidents in the past, with the below just a few of the highlights:
- 2006: Arrested at LAX for having a stolen gun in his briefcase to which he pled no contest and was sentenced to three years probation and time served.
- 2010: Arrested for stealing $3,500 worth of coins and jewelry and charged with burglary and criminal trespass.
- 2011: Arrested in connection to an assault on a man driving a tractor.
- 2012: Arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after beating a man with a bottle on his tour bus.
