The actor who is the voice of lovable Charlie Brown in "Peanuts" cartoons has just been accused of the unlovable acts of stalking and making death threats.
56-year-old Peter Robbins was the voice of Charlie Brown in several popular TV specials and now finds himself facing 12 felony counts, including three counts of making criminal threats and one count of stalking.
Robbins allegedly threatened and stalked a plastic surgeon after she refused to give Robbins' ex-girlfriend a refund on a breast enhancement procedure she had done.
Robbins was arrested while trying to cross the U.S./Mexico border and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The complaint alleges that Robbins agreed to pay for the boob job but decided he wanted his money back after he and his girlfriend broke up.
When the plastic surgeon refused, Robbins reportedly threatened to kill not just the doctor but others (including his ex) as well; the plastic surgeon filed a restraining order against Robbins and put an armed guard outside her office.
Prosecutors in the case claim that Robbins has also admitted to attacking his ex and her dog. Robbins was arrested when crossing the border back into the U.S. when a routine check turned up the felony warrant out for him.
His bail has been set at $550,000 with a bail review slated for later in January.
Robbins was the voice of Charlie Brown for the TV specials A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
